Midyear Blues

February 2, 2010

Ok I started out in Art1. I then met Mrs. Downey, and transfered out almost immediately. When I chose Journalism, I thought it was going to be pretty easy. I mean, c’mon, how hard can three-hundered word articles be? In fact, it was extremely easy at first.  I almost felt bad taking three hundered points every issue. I actually tried to keep a straight face. And failed horribly. However, Journalism then kicked me in the sphincter, ’cause I then got my quarter grades. I had a thirteen percent in the class! Thirteen! I went up to Mr. Skillings to whine and bitch about it, and then he had a turn kicking my ass, listing all of these requirements I should’ve been doing instead of sitting around and scratching my maximus.  I then worked my maximus off to get my grade up, and I went from thirteen at the quarter to fifty-two at finals. I really hope I did well on my final. Any way, this class exceeded my expectations. It is extremely hard, time consuming and technical. However, you get the satisfaction of achievement, something you usually don’t get in a class. It’s worth it if you want to achieve something.
